Due to the fire station’s intense and unrelenting surveillance of our front yard, we often find ourselves retreating to our patio area behind the chain-link gate, even though we feel that they are also monitoring our activities beyond the gate by sound. They began blaring loud sirens more frequently towards our residence sometime at the beginning of 2023. Apart from the persistent disruption of our peace and tranquility by these intrusive disturbances, this exposure also puts us at risk of hearing damage. Sometimes, the sudden blaring of their sirens leaves us with a persistent ringing sound in our ears, a potential indication of hearing damage.
The constant blaring of extremely loud emergency equipment and ultra-bright headlights, which are intended solely for emergencies, primarily raises our concern about the potential impact on our children and pets who frequently play in our patio area, visible through the chain-link gate. This poses a threat to our children’s hearing and eyesight, heightening our worries about their well-being.
- Recently, following an incident that resulted in a persistent ringing sound and pain in Daddy’s ear, we’ve come to understand that such temporary hearing impairments can potentially lead to permanent hearing loss over time.
- This method of harassment persists, affecting us, our children, and pets who play daily behind the chain-link gate. We’ve documented some of these incidents as follows:

This particular group, identifiable by a silver truck and a brown Toyota truck, has been the most abusive throughout the year, although all others have also proven themselves to be disruptive to some degree.
They frequently activate their sirens from morning until night, multiple times throughout the day. Most of the time, they return to the station shortly after leaving. While other groups on different days do not have as many calls or runs, this group is exceptionally loud and invasive. It seems that soon after this group started this pattern, all other groups began to follow suit.
